Admitted to the Illinois bar in 2003, Kristie received her B.A. cum laude in Psychology in 2000 from the University of Southern California, and her Juris Doctorate in 2003 from Loyola University, Chicago School of Law.  Ms. Fingerhut was the Editor-in-Chief from 2002-2003 and the Associate Editor from 2001-2002 of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal, and has authored: “Deadbeat Daddy Dilemma: An Examination of Parental Responsibility and Fundamental Rights in State v. Oakley,” 629 N.W.2d 200 (Wis.2001), published in Children’s Legal Rights Journal, Summer 2002, volume 22, number (Kristie E. Cary).

Ms. Fingerhut is a member of the Lake County and Illinois State Bar Associations.  She has been a member the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County since 2004 when she began practicing family law with the firm of White, Scott and White (Lake Bluff), and has served on the Board of Directors since 2005.  Ms. Fingerhut is also a court approved Child Representative, Mediator and Guardian Ad Litem.
